Our Dojo

Aikido of Palm Beach County
Aikido of Palm Beach County offers traditional Aikido instruction for adults and teenagers of all ages and levels of experience. Classes are open to all who wish to train and include instruction in open hand and traditional Japanese jo (wooden staff), bokken (wooden sword), and tanto (wooden knife). At Aikido of Palm Beach County, our goal is to provide a high-quality Aikido and martial arts learning environment.

Randall Smith is a 3rd degree black belt in Aikido with over 15 years of experience. He began his Aikido training in 1993 under Peter Bernath (7th degree black belt, Chief Instructor at Florida Aikikai and Member of the Technical Committee of the United States Aikido Federation). He has also received specialized Aikido instructions from Tariq Baig (5th degree black belt, USAF) at Florida Aikikai throughout his training. Randall also studied Aikido under Josh Drachman (5th degree black belt, Aikido Schools of Ueshiba) at Aikido of Palm Beach County. Randall continues his aikido training by attending classes and seminars with prominent instructors throughout the United States.

Aikido of Palm Beach County was founded in 2002 by Josh Drachman. Josh Drachman is a 5th degree black belt in Aikido with over 25 years of Aikido experience, including six years of intensive training at Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan. He has a wide martial arts background and is a senior student under Mitsugi Saotome Sensei, Master Shihan and direct student of Aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba. Josh Drachman is the Assistant Chief Instructor at Aikido Eastside in Bellevue, Washington. We are fortunate to have Josh travel to Florida to teach seminars at Aikido of Palm Beach County.
